Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs was Instrumental In building and continues to maintain the Mohican Memorial Shrine In Ashland, Ohio.
A joint initiative of ODNR and the Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs, the Mohican-Memorial Shrine was completed in 1947. It is maintained by the ODNR Division of Forestry, which also oversees the surrounding 270-acre memorial forest and 4,525-acre state forest.
More than 60,000 Women's Club members from all over the state worked two years to raise the construction funds. Legislation required that all materials and companies involved in the construction be native to Ohio. Roof timbers were hewn from state forest trees. The native Ohio sandstone blocks came from a nearby quarry. Roof tiles were manufactured in New Lexington and floor tiles in Zanesville. A Columbus art glass studio created the shrine's six stained-glass windows, which depict peace doves with olive branches, as well as red cardinals (the state bird) and buckeye trees (the state tree).
Two epic wood-bound books containing the hand-lettered names of 20,000 Ohio war dead are preserved in a glass case within the shrine's grotto.

Shot at Life: GFWC's Measles Mission
GFWC and Shot@Life have challenged clubwomen across the country to help protect 16,000 children with lifesaving measles vaccines between 2024–2026 by raising funds for UNICEF and the World Health Organization. You can donate as an individual or fundraise by getting your club, friends, and family to donate. Instead of a $5 cup of coffee, you can help protect a child for life against measles. Or, give $25 to help protect an entire family.
Check out the new fundraising hub, where you can find resources, join your state page, and directly donate (there is a box to include your club name): shotatlife.org/gfwc-measles
